Southern Revere Cellars is a newly opened family owned and operated Farm Brewery and Winery on over 70 picturesque rolling acres, featuring an intimate tasting room experience in the scenic countryside of Louisa County. Located just off the beaten path of Route 64 between Richmond and Charlottesville, Sothern Revere offers a family-friendly, approachable gathering spot to imbibe a rotating menu of “land made” beverages.

Once you turn at the signature barnwood and metal Southern Revere Cellars sign onto the pastoral lane, you enjoy a leisurely drive through hay fields up to the barn-red tasting room perched at the top of the hill. Enjoy your choice of beverage or nosh from the on-site food truck in the modern, yet rustic tasting barn, on the expansive covered patio (enclosed in the winter for comfort), or on the grounds at a fire pit or picnic table overlooking the pond, vineyard, and fields.

At least one of the family owners is always onsite and everyone who works at Southern Revere exudes that friendly Southern charm, making you feel like you are part of the family too (including your leashed pet!).  Visitors are greeted warmly and invited to sample beverages with flights and select their favorite finely crafted seasonal beer or beautifully blended wine to while away the afternoon or evening.

Throughout the year Southern Revere hosts pop-ups and collaborations on-site, as well as a multitude of varied special events including food trucks; live musicians and bands; trivia nights; karaoke; craft nights; artisan shows; festivals; a book club; children’s events and even farmers markets. Their rural (yet easily accessible!) location emphasizes the “from the land” aspect of their products, as well as those of fellow local small businesses (you can purchase the local honey that they also use in the popular Three Oaks Honey Brown Lager) and encourages bringing a picnic from neighboring Forrest Green Farms.

Southern Revere tenders a dozen plus handcrafted beers all brewed on-site – from classic offerings to flavors inspired by the seasons – and include cleverly named pours such as Bales of Haze, Grain Reaper, and Bless Your Heart (a seasonal pink-hued blackberry sour whose description says “a bit prickly in the most well intended way!”) You can even order popular favorite “beer cocktails”: a Michelada or Pickle Beer!  The Tasting Barn also features more than a half dozen wines from the semi-sweet, What a Peach to the distinctively alluring and complex Virginia Petit Verdot, with their estate grown vintages being released later this year.  They also offer a rotating selection from nearby local cideries and non-alcoholic offerings to please the whole group.

Extend your trip with an overnight stay at unique local lodging options such as Lake Glen Haven, Small Country Campground, or Prospect Hill Inn. And explore nearby fellow Fermentation Farm Trail craft beverage producers for a complete Eat. Drink. Love. Virginia adventure. Southern Revere celebrates their namesake, Virginia folk hero Jack Jouett – the Paul Revere of the South, through their motto rooted in tradition and crafted with ambition!
