Located in historic Manassas, Va., KO Distilling crafts an assortment of spirits, including gin, rye whiskey, white whiskey, bourbon and more. Bare Knuckle American Rye Whiskey is made from 1,200 pounds of grain, Virginia wheat, rye and malted barley. The grain is milled, mashed and fermented in-house, along with being double-distilled in their vendome 550-gallon copper pot hybrid still. “It is a locally made and locally sourced spirit, which has aged on-site in charred new American oak barrels for 18 months,” says KO Distilling Founder and CEO Bill Karlson. After aging it’s bottled and sealed by hand for the commemorative event.
Bare Knuckle American Rye Whiskey can be enjoyed straight-up, on the rocks or in a classic Manhattan. The whiskey has notes of rich, warm caramel, vanilla and strong accents of oak.
Whether you are looking to expand your whiskey, gin, or bourbon palate, or just looking for a fun day filled with good eats and local spirits, KO Distilling’s Bare Knuckle Rye Whiskey release event is something foodies and drinkers can both enjoy.
